AgCarolina collects food for needy families during Customer Appreciation events held across our 34-county servicing area. Employees, customers and various community organizations contribute to the food drive. The food drive is held in association with the Cooperative Council of North Carolina’s Early Harvest Food Drive, which encourages cooperatives throughout North Carolina to hold food drives to benefit their local food banks. The collected food is donated to food banks in New Bern, Greenville and Raleigh.
AgCarolina collects toys for local needy youths during an annual campaign from September to November. Employees and customers participate in the Toys for Tots campaign. Over 1,200 toys have been donated since the inception of this program impacting many children across eastern North Carolina.
Hurricane Matthew devastated many people, businesses, roads, and communities throughout North Carolina. The Farm Credit Associations of North Carolina, along with CoBank, donated $110,000 for flood relief efforts in eastern NC. The funds were split evenly between the NC Baptists Disaster Relief Mission and the Salvation Army to further enable assistance to impacted areas. Employees of AgCarolina also participated in a clean-up workday with the other Farm Credit Associations in North Carolina. AgCarolina will continue to uphold the mission to serve people in good times and bad.
