2/19/2015 - Innovative Young Farmer Award Presented by Farm Credit Associations of NC
[Raleigh, NC] The Farm Credit Associations of NC announce the recipients of the 2015 Innovative Farmer of the Year Award given by The Tobacco Farm Life Museum.
This year’s “Innovative Young Farmer of the Year” award winners are Peyton McDaniel, Billy McDaniel, and Phillip Watson. These young men have set themselves apart with equal parts commitment, dedication, and enthusiasm for their craft.

1/22/2015 - Scholarships Available from AgCarolina Farm Credit
[Raleigh, NC] AgCarolina Farm Credit announces twenty-seven college scholarships are available and will be awarded in the coming months.
The Raleigh-based farm lender has long been a supporter of young and beginning farmers and others who live in rural North Carolina. College scholarships are just one component of the Young and Beginning Farmer Program at AgCarolina Farm Credit. Ag loans, special loan programs, educational seminars, and financial sponsorships to help young and beginning farmers succeed are also provided by the agricultural lender.

12/18/2014 - Tobacco Farm Life Museum Accepting Applications for Innovative Young Farmer Award
Raleigh, NC – The Tobacco Farm Life Museum is now accepting applications for the Innovative Young Farmer of the Year award. The award, sponsored by the Farm Credit Associations of North Carolina, will reward the hard work and innovative thinking of young farmers in North Carolina.
12/12/2014 - AgCarolina Farm Credit Announces Director Election Results
Raleigh, NC – Three incumbents have been re-elected to the AgCarolina Farm Credit Board of Directors by the cooperative’s voting stockholders. Ellis W. Taylor of Roanoke Rapids was elected to Region 2 (serving Franklin, Warren, and Halifax counties); Paul A. Drake of Pinetops was elected to Region 6 (serving Edgecombe and Nash counties); and Cliff Keel, III of Robersonville was elected to Region 7 (serving Pitt and Martin counties).
12/5/2014 - AgCarolina Farm Credit Awards $31,000 to Eastern North Carolina Programs
Raleigh, NC - AgCarolina Farm Credit awarded $31,000 in grants to thirteen organizations through their corporate-giving program, the Fund for Rural North Carolina. The grants will help the recipients carry out programs that specifically benefit farmers and rural residents in eastern North Carolina where the Association conducts business.

RALEIGH, NC – AgCarolina Farm Credit is hosting two forums on the latest Economic Outlook and Trends in Agriculture. The forums will be presented by the Farm Credit System’s Terry Barr, who is Senior Director for CoBank’s Knowledge Exchange Division. He is based in Washington, DC.
