Two incumbents have been re-elected to the AgCarolina Farm Credit Board of Directors by the cooperative’s voting stockholders.
Raleigh, NC – Two incumbents have been re-elected to the AgCarolina Farm Credit Board of Directors by the cooperative’s voting stockholders. Derek Potter of Grantsboro was elected to Region 8 (serving Beaufort, Dare, Tyrrell, Hyde, Pamlico, and Washington counties) and Audie Murphy of Stantonsburg was elected to Region 9 (serving Greene, Wilson, and Wayne counties).
AgCarolina’s Board of Directors is made up of 10 stockholder-elected directors and two outside appointed directors. Each serves a four-year term.
“Farm Credit provides an opportunity for members to have a voice in the direction of the future of our cooperative,” said Board Chairman Ellis Taylor, a farmer from Halifax County. “The AgCarolina Farm Credit director election is complete and the board will continue to uphold the mission to be the best source of financing for farmers, agribusinesses, and rural residents in eastern North Carolina.”
